He describes tragedies, setbacks, mental problems, severe physical injuries, and interpersonal friction along the journey. Goggins admired him and felt happy to have a positive male role model.

Goggins enters the Air Force after high school and serves four years before working as an exterminator in Indianapolis. He decides to transform his life one night while cleaning a particularly nasty restaurant. Goggins weighed 300 pounds at this time, but that doesn’t stop him from wanting to join the Navy SEALs, an elite special operations organisation. Goggins drops almost 100 pounds and studies rigorously in three months. He passes the required examinations to attend BUD/S, a hard six-month training programme at the conclusion of which he will be a SEAL.

Before accomplishing his goals, Goggins, has to complete the BUD\S training thrice because of severe injuries. During all these trainings, Goggins suffers a lot of physical hardships & starts to learn how to strengthen his mind. After facing a lots of setback in his professional career, he attains a wide range of athletic plus professional goals.

He finishes his  Army Ranger school, becomes freefall certified, and  finally serves as the face of Navy recruitment, traveling around the country and inspiring & motivating youngsters.
